Assembling the Pieces Toolkit

This free online toolkit is designed to support organizations working to implement the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace (the Standard). As a companion to the “Assembling the Pieces Implementation Guide” and the Standard, this toolkit provides practical advice for implementing key elements of the Standard, as well as links to customizable tools that will assist organizations in taking action.

Being a Mindful Employee is a free online training program that helps employees understand the 13 factors from the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. More importantly, it demonstrates what can impact employee mental health and what we can all do to support ourselves and others in the workplace.

This course has 4 modules:

  • Managing you. Includes scenarios about maintaining balance and supporting your own growth and development at work
  • Interacting with others. Includes scenarios about inclusion, support, and psychological protection at work
  • Dealing with work stressors. Includes scenarios about clarity, competencies, workload, and influence at work
  • Contributing to a positive culture. Includes scenarios about civility, respect, pride at work, and supporting others

This course is hosted by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).
