Inspiring Hope: Our Lives Depend On It

“Mental health support is an investment — in individuals, in families, in communities, and in society overall.”

Michel Rodrigue, president and CEO of the Mental Health Commission of Canada

The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) is leading real and powerful change through initiatives that help bring about a better understanding of mental health.

But the call for care is growing louder.

Today, the need for access to quality, timely, and culturally appropriate mental health care cannot be overstated. Yet once the doors to care are open, having the right treatments and supports is essential.

In Canada, more than 1.6 million people have an unmet need for mental health care, one in two have experienced a delay in accessing services (or know someone who has), and five in six children are unable to access treatment.

At the MHCC, we fill gaps in the system of care by developing programs that shorten wait times, tools that prevent suicide, protocols for culturally appropriate care, and much more.

Be a part of the movement to drive change in mental health care and improve outcomes for individuals, families, and communities across the country.

Help us raise our voices to increase understanding and access to quality care.

It is up to all of us to answer the call.
