Statement from Chuck Bruce, Chair, Board of Directors, Mental Health Commission of Canada

The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) is proud to welcome Roxanne Anderson and Julie LeBlanc Hultberg to our Board of Directors.
At a time when mental health is more important than ever, the challenges related to mental illness and substance use are being felt across every corner of Canadian society, from our health care and housing systems to our schools, universities and workplaces. The MHCC remains steadfast in its mission to address these pressing issues, and the addition of Roxanne and Julie strengthens our ability to do so.
Roxanne Anderson, FCPA, FCA, is a seasoned accounting and finance executive with a deep commitment to mental health advocacy. With a distinguished career that includes serving as Managing Partner at PwC, she currently holds the role of Senior Vice President of Business Optimization and Chief Financial Officer at the Victorian Order of Nurses in Ottawa. Roxanne further brings a long-standing dedication to volunteerism in the mental health space.
Julie LeBlanc Hultberg, LL.B, LL.M, is a respected legal professional based in Moncton, New Brunswick, with over two decades of experience in regulatory and health law. A proud Francophone and active community member, Julie is particularly passionate about promoting mental wellness in the workplace.
The MHCC plays a vital role in addressing the social and economic impacts of mental health challenges across Canada. The diverse perspectives, professional expertise, and unwavering commitment to mental health that Roxanne and Julie bring will be invaluable as we continue to guide the Commission’s work in the years ahead.
