Roots of Hope – A Community Suicide Prevention Project: Backgrounder

Roots of Hope is a community-based model that supports populations across Canada in reducing the impact of suicide in their local context. The model builds on community expertise to implement suicide prevention and life promotion interventions. In following the framework, communities develop a range of suicide prevention efforts to meet their own needs while aligning them with its 5 pillars and 13 guiding principles.

To promote greater understanding, the Roots of Hope backgrounder provides a comprehensive description of the model, outlines community initiatives, and addresses commonly asked questions.
